Established in 1990 as a sales office, our Company started as a supplier of electronic components for individual clients and a modest number of producers. An intensive development of electronic production in our country resulted in a great demand for elements and components. Consequently the Company grew dynamically, increasing its turnover, expanding its product range, winning new clients and suppliers and employing new staff. After reorganization in 1992, the Company began operating under the name Eltron Electronic. For the Polish trading companies it was undoubtedly a very promising period.
The year 1992 was important for the Company in yet another respect. The signing of the agreement for the general representation of PHOENIX CONTACT in Poland initiated the development of the Company’s new branches of activity: Industrial Automation and Electro-Technology. One year later the Company became the representative of more manufacturers in the line of automation, namely BALLUFF and EAO-ESA. In 1996 the name was changed. Since that time it has been operating under the name ELTRON. The omission of "Electronic" emphasizes the increasing importance of automation and electro-technology in the Company’s activities. Separate divisions of Electro-technology and Automation have been created. Further the Company’s Registered Office has moved and a new store has been created, enabling effective distribution of much greater quantity of goods.

At present the Company works from its own four-storey building, 1400 sq. m. in area, having at its disposal spacious office rooms and its own car park for clients. The computer network and the telecommunication link have been upgraded by installing a modern telephone switchboard. A modified organizational structure resulted in enhanced cooperation between the Company’s different divisions and consequently in enhanced customer service. We have employed new staff in our Sales Offices in Warsaw and Gdańsk, where responsibilities have been split up in electronics and automation - to the advantage of our clients in these regions. The increasing share of PHOENIX CONTACT in ELTRON’s sales of electro-technology products and in particular that of connectors, relays and over-voltage protection devices has led the Company’s Board to create a separate division for electro-technology. Currently ELTRON ranks among the largest PHOENIX CONTACT distributors in Poland.

Since the Company is preparing to apply for the ISO-9002 Certificate, all the improvements have been based on the requirements for this certification.
