New analyzer from Carlo Gavazzi, WM5-96

The need to register and measure power consumption of either individual devices or complex power systems requires special meters to be installed. For such applications the analyzers from Carlo Gavazzi are virtually perfect. Following market demand, a new device, labelled WM5-96, has been developed based on the previous model, the WM4-96. The new analyzer is unique in allowing data to be transmitted through a new optical port installed on the device’s front panel. Technological parameters have been improved with regard to voltage (600kV) and current (60kA) analysis. The system allows for direct measurement of currents up to 10A and uses a measuring transformer for higher values. Direct communication with the device is ensured through an Ethernet port or alternatively an RS 485 or RS 232 bus. This analysis can be performed using the PowerSoft software. To meet the increasing market requirements the program is constantly updated. Analyzed data can be stored on a server or on a 2MB memory card, which unfortunately is a considerably limitation of possible applications for the RS485 model ( signals are paired on the same slot.

Anemometers

Anemometers and relative anemometers are used to measure the speed and the relative direction of the wind.
Applications include wind turbines, buildings, cranes, weather stations, green-houses and more.
Anemometers are equipped with PNP and NPN outputs, in which a fixed current is switched proportionally to the air speed at the rate of 10 pulses per m/s. Wind vanes registers deviations in the wind direction (left/right) from a given starting point.
Both devices are equipped with heaters to reduce the risk of glazing and also feature custom-designed protection mechanisms for the protection of bearings and electronic parts against dirt and humidity.
