Thin Profile Non-Contacting Angular Position Sensors (NCAPS®)

BEI Technologies offers a line of standard, non-contacting, all-round 360° rotary sensors in fully sealed packages.
These cutting-edge devices housed in patented NCAPS profiles are a range of standard, ready-made products capable of working in a variety of applications, from engine steering to angular position (steering angle) control. The sensors inherit all the advantages of original NCAPS devices: true 360-degree absolute rotary position feedback, only one moving part, very high tolerance to mechanical misalignment and resistance to particle contamination.
Further, the present version features moisture- and dust-proof housing, self-diagnostic functions, and programmable outputs, all embedded in a thin profile. The shaft-driven construction includes a D-shaped pass-through opening of 1 in. in diameter and a Packard Electric connector.
